Your Definite Chief Aim
Before you start anything, decide exactly what you want. This walks you through Napoleon Hill's method from Think and Grow Rich and ends with a written statement to keep.
From aim to Day One
Your statement says where you're going. Now decide when you begin, what you'll do first, and when you'll show up each week.
Where this comes from. In Think and Grow Rich, Napoleon Hill argued most people never get what they want because they never actually decide what it is. His fix was a "Definite Chief Aim": a written statement covering the exact goal, what you'll trade for it, a deadline, and a plan, read aloud daily.
What you'll leave with. Two pages. Your statement, the why, to read every morning and night. And your Day One plan, the how, to keep beside it and adjust as you go.

Hill's version doesn't end at the writing. Read it out loud once when you wake up and once before bed, and picture the version of you that already pulled it off.
You know where you're going. Next, decide when you begin.
You're leaving with two pages.
Your statement is the why. Read it every morning and night. Your plan is the how. Keep it beside the statement and adjust it as you go.
Step 3: Show up
Once you've taken your first step, come back and add your name to the wall of people who finally started.
